The Dog Home Foundation’s Camel Rescue Program is a unique and valuable initiative that focuses on the welfare of camels. In the desert regions of Rajasthan, camels are often used as working animals, but unfortunately, many of them are subjected to harsh treatment and neglect. The program provides a much-needed safety net for these animals and aims to improve their quality of life.

Currently, the program has 15 camels under its care and is receiving one or two new rescue camels every day from Jaisalmer, Barmer, Osia, and nearby towns. However, the program is facing a shortage of resources, and the existing shelter needs expansion to accommodate the increasing number of rescue camels.
